In the realm of fiery tales, where questions start to rise,
I ponder on the notion of hell, where torment never dies.
They say it’s a choice we make, a path we freely tread,
But can it truly be a choice, or an ultimatum instead?
Lamentations 3:22 declares God’s love without an end,
Yet where does His mercy dwell for those in fiery rend?
If love is boundless, as they say in Scriptures of old,
Where is the compassion for souls in eternal cold?
Some claim that God doesn’t send, but it’s a choice we embrace,
Yet is it truly freedom, or a threat we must face?
Can a choice be genuine when the alternatives are dire,
To obey without question or face eternal fire?
Heaven and hell, two tools of control, it seems,
In every faith and belief, woven within their themes.
Neither can be proven, for those who might have known,
Are long gone from this earth, their experiences not shown.
A loving parent’s heart seeks to nurture and to guide,
Rewarding good deeds, walking closely by their side.
But banishing to torment, is that a parent’s way?
To punish eternally for a child’s momentary sway?
And what of Satan’s tale, a rebel cast away,
His challenge of the almighty proved to strong so in heaven he couldn’t stay
Yet mankind was created in this guys battleground,
Expected to defeat him where even God’s power could not be found.
How sad it is that some need hell to fear what’s wrong,
To be good human beings, to know where they belong.
But let us rise above, embrace a higher call,
To do what’s right and just because it’s right for all.
In the end, let’s seek the path of kindness and of grace,
Not driven by fear of hell or the glory of a heavenly place.
For love and compassion can guide us on our way,
To create a world of goodness, where darkness cannot sway.
